It depends on your family's specific citizenship history - not just where your ancestors were born, or their heritage. The most common pathway requires that you, a parent, or a grandparent lost Czech or Czechoslovak citizenship, that you have never acquired Slovak citizenship, and that the person who lost citizenship was born in, or held permanent residence in, what is now the Czech Republic. There is real nuance here, which is why we review actual documents rather than guessing.

That is often not the end of it. Czech citizenship law includes other routes beyond the main one, and which - if any - applies depends entirely on your family’s history. This is exactly what we cover in an eligibility meeting.

We cannot promise how quickly the government approves a case - no one honestly can. What we can promise is how quickly we get your application filed once your documents are ready. We file directly with the office handling your case rather than going through a Czech embassy, which is typically slower.

Yes, significantly. Additional family members join at a fraction of the individual starting cost, and we regularly process multiple relatives' cases in parallel. If more than one person in your family might qualify, it is almost always worth applying together.

Less than you would expect. You gather your foreign documents and sign a Power of Attorney - from there, we handle everything: notarized copies, certified translations, application prep, filing (if you would like us to handle it), and, if you choose that service, obtaining your Czech-issued birth and marriage certificates as well.

No - the process is designed to be handled remotely, through the Power of Attorney arrangement.

No, not for the vast majority of cases.

Every original is returned to you in its original condition. We also provide an additional notarized copy of any translations, in case you need them again later.

No - a passport isn’t part of this package, and no one can get it on your behalf. It requires biometrics to be taken in person, either at a Czech embassy or consulate, or at an office in the Czech Republic.
